Rigid boxes cost more than folding cartons due to their multi-layer construction. Pricing typically ranges from $3 to $15 per unit depending on size, material, finish, and quantity. Volume discounts apply at 500 and 1,000+ units.
Folding cartons are made from single-layer paperboard (300-600gsm), ship flat, and fold into shape. Rigid boxes use thick chipboard (1200gsm+) wrapped in decorative paper, maintaining their shape permanently. Rigid boxes are heavier, more premium, and cost more.
Yes. Collapsible rigid boxes fold flat for shipping and storage, then pop into shape with magnetic or adhesive closures. They look and feel identical to traditional rigid boxes but save 60-70% on shipping and warehousing costs.
