Artwork & Design Guidelines

Everything you need to know about submitting your artwork.

Accepted File Formats

For the best print quality, please submit your artwork in one of the following formats:

• Preferred: Adobe Illustrator (.ai), PDF (high-resolution), EPS
• Accepted: PSD (300 DPI minimum), PNG (300 DPI, transparent background), TIFF
• Not recommended: JPEG, GIF, BMP, or any low-resolution files

Design Requirements

• Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI for all raster images
• Color Mode: CMYK color space (not RGB)
• Bleed: Include 0.125" (3mm) bleed on all sides
• Safe Zone: Keep critical text and logos at least 0.125" from the trim line
• Fonts: Convert all text to outlines/curves to avoid font substitution
• Vector artwork: Preferred for logos and text for the sharpest print quality

Free Design Assistance

Do not have print-ready artwork? Our in-house design team can help at no extra charge:

• Dieline creation: We provide custom dieline templates for your box dimensions
• Design adjustments: We can resize, recolor, and adapt your existing branding
• Full design: Share your brand guidelines, logo, and vision, and we will create a complete packaging design

Proof Approval Process

1. Submit artwork: Upload your files when placing your order or email them to help@tealpackaging.com.
2. Receive proof: Our team will create a digital mockup showing your design on the packaging.
3. Review & approve: Check colors, text, layout, and dimensions carefully. Request revisions if needed.
4. Production begins: Once you approve the proof in writing, we start production. Changes after approval may incur additional charges.

Physical Samples

We offer free physical samples of your custom design before committing to a full production run. This allows you to inspect material quality, print accuracy, and structural integrity in person. Sample shipping is free within the US.

Color Accuracy

We use high-quality offset and digital printing to match your brand colors as closely as possible. For exact color matching, please provide Pantone (PMS) color codes. Note that slight color variations between screen displays and printed output are normal due to differences between RGB and CMYK color spaces.

Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of all artwork and designs you submit. Teal Packaging will not use, share, or reproduce your designs for any purpose other than fulfilling your order. We respect your brand and intellectual property.
