- 12-count box: 14x10x4 inches, full dozen with removable insert
All measurements accommodate standard-size cupcakes with 2.5-inch frosting height. Jumbo or mini cupcake sizes require custom dimensions.
Insert Options for Stability
Loose cupcakes slide around and arrive damaged. We offer three insert solutions:
- Corrugated inserts: E-flute material, $0.18 per insert, best for heavy or topped cupcakes
- Paperboard inserts: 18pt SBS, $0.12 per insert, works for standard cupcakes
- Molded pulp trays: $0.22 per insert, eco-friendly option with individual cavities
Inserts drop into the box base and hold each cupcake in place. The 4-inch lid height provides clearance for tall frosting swirls and decorative toppers.
Window and Ventilation Features
Clear PET windows showcase your decorating work while keeping cupcakes protected. Window coverage options:
- Full lid window: maximum visibility, popular for retail display
- Partial window: 6x4 inch clear panel on lid, balances visibility with structural strength
- Die-cut pattern window: custom shapes (stars, circles, hearts) add $150 setup fee
Ventilation perforations prevent condensation buildup that can damage frosting. We punch four small vent holes (3mm diameter) in the back panel at no extra cost.
Material Construction

Printing and Branding
Full-color CMYK printing covers the entire exterior surface. Add your logo, flavor labels, ingredient lists, or decorative patterns. Spot color printing (Pantone matching) is available for brand-specific colors at no additional charge for up to 3 colors.
Interior printing adds $0.08 per box. This works well for surprise messages, care instructions, or brand storytelling that customers see when opening.
Pricing Structure
Costs for a 4-count cupcake box (7x7x4 inches) with window and insert:
- 100 units: $2.75 each
- 250 units: $1.80 each
- 500 units: $1.25 each
- 1,000 units: $0.92 each
- 2,500+ units: $0.75 each
Setup fees ($250 one-time) cover die creation, printing plates, and first article sample. Reorders skip the setup fee for 12 months.
Production Timelines

Assembly and Storage
Boxes arrive flat-packed. Pop-up assembly takes about 5 seconds per box with no tape required. Store flat boxes in a climate-controlled area. High humidity can cause warping; keep boxes in original packaging until needed.
Food Contact Safety
