The setup cost reality: Every box order has fixed costs regardless of quantity: art prepress ($25-$100), die creation ($150-$500), machine setup ($50-$150), and minimum labor time. These costs are absorbed by each unit. At 100 units, these fixed costs add $2-5 per box. At 10,000 units, they add $0.02-0.05 per box.
Volume breaks: Most box manufacturers offer tiered pricing. Key breaks are typically: 500, 1,000, 2,500, 5,000, and 10,000 units. The jump from 1,000 to 2,500 often yields 20-30% per-unit savings.

Storage and Fulfillment
