Mini donuts change the geometry, not just the size
A standard donut sits around three and a half inches across; a mini runs closer to two. That difference does not shrink the box evenly, it changes its proportions. Mini donut boxes go shallow and wide, the lid drops closer to the glaze, and a structure borrowed from a full-size dozen box leaves minis sliding into each other by the second block of the delivery route.
Start the spec from a measured tray of your actual minis, iced and topped the way they sell. Cake minis, yeast minis and cream-filled minis stand at different heights, and the tallest one on the menu sets the interior clearance for the whole program.
If the minis top out below two inches, note that too. A shallower box saves board on every unit, and across ten thousand units that quarter inch of depth is real money.
Counts that match how minis sell
